The Story of Sherborn’s Century Farm with Betsy Johnson

Thursday, November 5, 7:00—8:30 PM

Sherborn Library (4 Sanger St, Sherborn)

Century Farm, for many years considered one of the finest farms in Sherborn, covered the area immediately around the Levy’s house on Hollis Street, and all of Ward Lane, Jackson Road, Parks Drive, and down Hollis Street into Holliston. Under a sequence of five different families, it was actively farmed from the 1660s until the late 1950s, and shows in microcosm the manner in which most townsfolk once made a living in our agriculture-based community.

Join us on Thursday, November 5th to hear Betsy Johnson, Town Historian and author of the soon-to-be-released book, A History of Sherborn, Massachusetts, From its Indigenous Roots to the Millennium.

This program will be HYBRID, Betsy will be speaking in the Community Room at the Library, but we’ll also be zooming in on her presentation. Register to receive the Zoom link.

This program is co-sponsored by the Sherborn Historical Society and the Sherborn Library
