Public Forum on the Sherborn History Center & Museum Monday, March 10th 7 PM Sherborn Police Department with architect Yugon Kim, Director of TSKP x ikd Come hear Doug Brown, other members of the Sherborn History Center, and the architect, discuss the new proposed home in the library, see renderings from the architect, and get all your questions answered. There will be a presentation, followed by Q&A and dialogue.

Walter McClennen has written a number of "short histories" on a broad variety of topics pertaining to family, friends, community and issues both social and political. His latest book, Looking East, is a collection of the best of these short histories selected from his writing of the past twenty years. Sept. 13th program about “Memory” and its sculptor, Dallin What do you know about the “Memory” statue?  It is so familiar to those of us who drive by its location in the Town of Sherborn’s Central Burying Ground at the split of Routes 16 and 27.  The statue memorializes the Sherborn residents who died in wars through World War I, was a gift of William Bradford Homer Dowse and was created by the sculptor Cyrus Dallin (1861-1944).  The Town also received, as a gift from Dr. Scudder, a plaster copy of Dallin’s bust of Dr. Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.   […]
