    Sept. 13th program about “Memory” and its sculptor, Dallin What do you know about the “Memory” statue?  It is so familiar to those of us who drive by its location in the Town of Sherborn’s Central Burying Ground at the split of Routes 16 and 27.  The statue memorializes the Sherborn residents who died in wars through World War I, was a gift of William Bradford Homer Dowse and was created by the sculptor Cyrus Dallin (1861-1944).  The Town also received, as a gift from Dr. Scudder, a plaster copy of Dallin’s bust of Dr. Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.   […]
