DESCRIPTION:The nineteenth annual Mass History Conference\, History Is For Everyone\, will bring together people from all walks of life to engage in historical practice and to champion inclusivity in our historical landscape. For millennia\, history has been recorded through the lens of the privileged few – captured and controlled by the elite in private ivory towers. We now know that the best history work requires collective engagement\, collaborative efforts\, and diverse perspectives. This year’s conference will showcase stories about Massachusetts’ diverse communities and spotlight the projects and skills that give us models for telling these stories.

The session will include a burst of joint exploration to see what we can collectively uncover about a potential story waiting to be revealed. \nOptional but encouraged: bring along a tablet or laptop to access the library’s Ancestry.com account.
